Please Welcome, Follow & Share her beautiful artwork!
Artist Jakhu Studio
Jakhu Studio is a London-Lima-based jewellery brand founded in 2017 by Maria Bernal, a creative and self-taught artist with a passion
for exploring our interconnectedness with the natural world. Rooted in the rich traditions of Pre-Columbian art and culture,
Jakhu jewellery is thoughtfully handcrafted in Peru in collaboration with silversmiths from San Jerónimo de Tunán, a
community in the Central Andes renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship.
"Beauty is the embodiment of harmony and balance—deeply tied to simplicity and the philosophy of wabi-sabi, embracing both
transience and imperfection. It is an inherent quality found in certain moments, people, or objects, yet it can also be cultivated
by transforming elements of physical or mental reality." "Jakhu Studio jewellery goes beyond mere adornment. Each piece
honors the ancestral tradition of wearing jewellery as a powerful form of self-expression and communication. The studio's mission is
to create a deep connection with Nature, humanity, spirituality, and our sense of self through its collections."
"A piece of jewellery can act as a totem or amulet, offering protection at times,
and serving as a catalyst or facilitator at others."

'LLutu Earrings'
These sterling silver areola-disk earrings, with hand-hammered nipple detailing, are a celebration of the female bosom. Inspired by the Quechua word ‘Llutu,’ meaning nipple, they honor the universal symbolism of the breast as a source of nourishment, life, and connection. This medium-sized pair offers a wearable piece of art that’s both bold and reverent,
perfect to embrace the power and story behind the feminine form.
