Spring brings new light, movement and freshness which is exactly what my ear jewellery embodies. A piece of jewellery that captures the lightness of the season and the power of nature.
The ‚gezeiten‘ earrings showcase the unique structure of the sand as it is continually shaped by the ocean currents. The ripple marks are visible at low tide and reflect the waves. They are the inspiration for Christina Rogge‘s jewellery series. The ripple marks are formed in plaster on the beach. Transferring the original mould into a digital version using 3D scanning allows for detailed processing. What is special about the jewellery is the connection between the organic and changing aesthetics of nature and craftsmanship. When you look at them, you are reminded of the beauty and tranquillity of the sea.

Rather than relying on casting, blocks of sterling silver are formed into sheets, shaped using a forging technique and fired with a colour-controlled cloisonne glaze. The entire process is carried out by the artist alone, resulting in original cloisonne jewellery you won't find anywhere else.
