Triple Contour Traverse is a refined accomplishment in elevation. Now I offer a necklace with angles; a thin dyed rope traverses the contours of the necklace front and back, up and down, bound under tension, changing the underlying qualities of the undulating contour.
Refined craft with an experimental touch. There is no direction, try flipping it over, still traversing.
- Hand-dyed 100% cotton rope. Wrapped details in mercerized cotton yarn.
- Constructed from one length of rope layered three times then dip-dyed, rinsed, and dried. Finally the artist uses fine 1/8" rope to bind the entire necklace together.
