That moment when the flower opens, its sepals separate or fold to let the color burst forth.
The time has come to expose itself, to show off, to say "here I am," the moment of splendor in the grass.
Blooming is an outpouring of optimism, a celebration of consecration where a multicolored choir sings: look how well I do to perpetuate myself.
In the series ANTESIS, a bouquet of jewels is displayed, exultant in color and form. While I work on them with full attention, my mental "juices" transform the repulsion I feel seeing human beings treated as animals (dehumanizing them is part of the annihilation process). Such cruelty, passed through my beauty centrifuge, turns into a flower, a tribute to a better world. As long as there are flowers, there will be hope.
