Title: Temporary Residence

Material: handmade paper, iron, fire

Year: 2024-2025

I've lived in many different places. Everytime I go to a new city, I have a new home. However, when I left, I lost my homes again and again. When I moved, the furniture that really built the feeling of home that I can’t take with has become my regret. This lack of identity left me feeling empty. I never properly said goodbye to the past, but always rushed to the next place quickly. In this project, I combined furniture with the traditional Chinese funeral culture of paper burning to make a farewell ceremony for my attachment with the memories of the past.
