The Spheres in Balance is a collection of rings that reimagines the ancient art of granulation through a contemporary process I call 3D granulation. Each piece begins with a digital structure, where I use algorithmic modeling to map the precise placement of hundreds of tiny spheres across sculptural forms. Rather than fusing granules individually, their positions are integrated into the digital design, creating a constellation of balanced spheres that define the surface. Through high-resolution 3D printing and lost-wax casting in sterling silver, these spheres emerge in physical form, merging precise geometry with the fluid, transformative nature of metal. The resulting works evoke the spirit of ancient craftsmanship while speaking the language of the present, existing in a timeless space where past and future converge.
