'Latika Necklace' by Aanya Singhal
Latika: meaning delicate vine, captures the way the piece wraps organically around the neck.
It is a sculptural neckpiece that wraps gracefully around the collar, echoing the fluidity of a natural vine. This neckpiece features two petals, that are soldered and shaped to curve around the neck, then plated in black rhodium. The fibrous textures are achieved by braiding, twisting, pleating, and unwrapping fine silver wires, later gold-plated. The locking mechanism is inspired by rope splicing, and developed each element with attention to detail. The logo was laser engraved for a signature finish. Combining technical precision with organic inspiration, Latika reveals the layered beauty of nature through traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary lens.
