Troene Necklace - Blanc de neige
Since discovering antique tools for making silk flowers at a flea market, I have been creating necklaces from embossed paper, combining it with stainless steel wire and silver. The tools leave distinctive textures and patterns in the paper, giving each piece its own character and history.
Paper is at the heart of my work. Although it is treated to be durable and suitable, it is intended to remain recognizably paper. Its tactile quality is essential: the surface invites touch and reveals the material's unique softness, lightness, and structure.
Many of the necklaces are designed to respond to the movement of the wearer. The individual elements shift and sway with the body, creating a subtle interaction between the jewelry, the wearer, and the surrounding space.
Each piece is handmade and crafted with longevity in mind. To support this, I offer a lifetime repair service, ensuring that the work can continue to be worn and appreciated for many years.
